New eBook: The Rise and Failure of the Radical Right

The Origins of Australia’s Political Disarray

The right-wing ideology of the past 40 years has failed. It was always going to fail, because it is based on nonsense ideas, and because it harms people and the natural world. Australian politics has been dragged far to the right since 1980 because both major parties embraced an agenda promoted by right-wing radicals. Now the radical right’s grip on power is finally slipping. We are poised for a major political re-alignment.

I have a question about the availability of ‘The Rise and Failure of the Radical Right.’ I don’t have a Kindle reader, so I am wondering if the book is available in any other format.

Hi Philip, thanks for your query. There are a couple of possibilities.
Free Kindle reader apps that run on your computer or mobile device can be downloaded from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/kindle-dbs/fd/kcp .
If that’s no good for you, email me at geoffd at netspeed dot com dot au and I can send you an epub version.

    Hi Geoff,
I’m on the second reading of your book and there will be many more. To sum it up, brilliant, I can only describe it as, a surgical summary of the state of politics in Australia. It sorted out my muddled political mind and blew away my biasness.
My son John wants to study politics at ANU, NOW I can see why. My problem is trying to find hard copies of your book (2 to be exact). Tried to buy from amazon but they don’t deliver to Aus, can you steer me in the right direction, if possible.
Thank you again for taking the time to write your book and help us who are political challenged.

Hi Mike, thanks for your comments, I’m gratified you like it. I’m annoyed to find it’s printed in the US, but I’m reassured to find I can have it delivered to Oz. I just did so from the Amazon.com.au site: https://www.amazon.com.au/Rise-Failure-Radical-Right-Australias/dp/0648296822/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=
It didn’t have a problem, apart from the ridiculous cost of shipping to Oz. I’m trying to find better ways to make my hardcopies available, and it’s becoming a saga, but hope it will be sorted soon. (My first distributor just went bankrupt!). Let me know if you still have problems.

        Hi again Geoff,
I originally purchased the Kindle version for $1.21 but to purchase 2 hard copies through Amazon was $34.81. I thought they would add least bundle them to save me shipping cost. Let me know if you find someone local to distribute book and I will purchase through them.
I though you may find this article interesting, according to it, conservative brains maybe be hard wired.
(Peering inside the brain with MRI scans, researchers at University College London found that self-described conservative students had a larger amygdala than liberals. The amygdala is an almond-shaped structure deep in the brain that is active during states of fear and anxiety. Liberals had more gray matter at least in the anterior cingulate cortex, a region of the brain that helps people cope with complexity.)
